The bandoloncelo (mandocello) is the bass voice of the mandolin family. Tuned like the cello (C–G–D–A), an octave below the bandola, it has a large body and a deep, resonant sound.
It gives body and foundation to mandolin orchestras and traditional ensembles.
The most common build configurations are:
| Top | Basswood, Spruce |
| Back and sides | Mahogany, Cedar |
| Neck | Poplar, Mahogany, Cedar |
| Fingerboard | Panga Panga, Rosewood, Ebony |
| Tuning mechanism | Machine heads, individual tuners |
Every instrument is set up in our workshop for its player. Get in touch or visit us at Rua de Santana, 37, Porto.
